About

Essential viewing for all cinephiles, David Kittridge's extraordinary, critically acclaimed documentary explores the demons of making John Boorman's Exorcist II: The Heretic. Boorman and the Devil details how Academy Award-nominated director John Boorman took on the massive 1977 sequel Exorcist II: The Heretic, turning down standard horror tropes for a high-budget, metaphysical misfire that became one of Hollywood’s most famous box-office disasters.
