About

This calligraphy short course will be based on the italic hand. It is suitable for the beginner and those who have a knowledge of calligraphy. Through demonstration and example and on-screen review, students will explore the history, flexibility and variations of the italic hand. Over many years I have amassed a vast collection of cards both received and sent which I will bring along to inspire you. Paper and card folded give many possibilities for creating unusual cards which are not commercially available. We can draw upon our lovely surroundings inside and out for inspiration. We will then explore and apply these skills with a festive theme to design and produce cards and gifts for Christmas as individual, unique cards or for reproduction.
How invme works
  1. See who's going — faces, not ticket counts.
  2. Write to someone who shares your interests — no swipes, no matches, no paywall.
  3. Pick the event or the place to meet at — and go together.
