Decentralized Media Day @Devcon

Can we publish, distribute, stream and access media without depending on a company that can take it offline? Join us for Decentralized Media Day, curated by Swarm Foundation & Friends, where developers, artists, researchers and creators come together to explore the future of media beyond centralized platforms. Through talks, hands-on workshops and live demonstrations, we'll explore technologies that make decentralized publishing, distribution and preservation possible today. What you'll learn and explore How decentralized infrastructure allows us to publish, store and access media without relying on centralized servers. How to publish websites and applications without traditional hosting or gateways. How to stream video over decentralized networks, from camera to viewer. How artists and musicians can distribute their work while maintaining greater ownership and control. How decentralized storage can help preserve cultural knowledge and historical records. How collaborative editing, decentralized databases and new publishing tools work in practice. How to get started building and experimenting with these technologies yourself. No deep technical knowledge is required. Bring your questions, ideas and a laptop if you want to join the workshops.
