About

In addition to free admission for the day, we are proud to welcome community partners for unique programming: The People’s Banner Workshop is an ongoing project facilitated by artist Migiwa Orimo. The workshop provides free visual aids (banners, signs, props) for direct action, protest rallies, picket lines, and other street actions for social justice. Grounded in the notion of “Citizen Artists,” the People’s Banner Workshop welcomes participation of both artist and non-artist citizens in order to amplify their collective voice. Orimo approaches the workshop as a mechanism for not just production, but building comradeship.
