About

Before Halloween became costumes and candy, fear could take a much darker form. Enter the world of Connecticut’s earliest European colonists and experience witchcraft beliefs, superstition, and fear through their own words. Seated in near-total darkness inside our newly renovated 19th-century barn, you’ll hear the stories, accusations, and deeply held beliefs of a world where danger—physical and supernatural—seemed to lurk everywhere.
