About

Engage with notable local voices from the community in the Herzfeld Center for Photography and Media Arts as they share reflections on Beneath the Surface: Mining and American Photography. This drop-in experience is included with Museum admission. On Thursday nights from 4 to 8 p.m., admission is pay-what-you-wish at the door, while tickets purchased online in advance are full price. This exhibition is organized by the National Gallery of Art in collaboration with the Milwaukee Art Museum and the Amon Carter Museum of American Art and is co-curated by Kristen Gaylord, Herzfeld Curator of Photography and Media Arts at the Milwaukee Art Museum, and Diane Waggoner, acting head and curator of photographs at the National Gallery of Art. The Milwaukee Art Museum is grateful to its exhibition sponsors.
