About

Turns out, La Muerte has a funny bone. And on November 2nd, she’s getting her own show. Inspired by calaveritas literarias, one of Día de Muertos most unique traditions, La Última Risa is a live comedy show celebrating the holiday and México’s way of seeing death. It’s a show to honor loved ones who visit us with what they’d actually enjoy: a good story y muchas risas. Calaveritas, the little but hilarious rhyming poems, imagine La Muerte showing up unannounced to collect your tía, your abuelita, or even her crusty 20-year-old poodle. This Día de Muertos, we’re bringing a star-studded lineup of comedians to the stage to do the same — and you can get a front-row seat. Before the show, guests (the living ones, that is) will step into a world inspired by Día de Muertos traditions: a contemporary take on the ofrenda, cempasúchil, veladoras, music, and plenty of chisme. Then, the show begins. Come for your loved ones. Stay for the laughs. Sponsored by” PATRÓN® Tequila
