About

A Tony Award winner for originating the role of Celie in The Color Purple, LaChanze possesses one of the most commanding and deeply felt voices on the American stage. Her gift is rare: technical brilliance in complete service to the song, the truth of the music, and the electricity of genuine human feeling. An evening with LaChanze is an encounter with an artist at the fullest expression of her powers, one that audiences carry with them long after the last note rings out.
