About
The Marwar Festival is the most well-known event in the Jodhpur area. This event happens every year, from September to October, during the full moon of Sharad Poornima. The event will take place in Jodhpur City at the Mehrangarh Fort, the Clock Tower, the Ummed Stadium, the Samrat Ashok Udhyan, and the Osian Sand Dunes, which are close to Jodhpur. At the Marwar Festival, people honour the heroes of Rajasthan. It was first known as the Maand Festival. The main draw of this event is folk music based on the love lives of Rajasthan’s kings. Most of the music and dance at the event come from the Marwar area. Folk singers and dancers put on a lively show at the event. These folk artists’ songs tell stories about old battles and heroes who live on. The Tattoo Show for camels, tug of war, the Race keeping matka on head, traditional dress activities and handicraft shows, kite flying, and more are just some of the things that you can see and do at the event.
