About

Swingstang lifts the legacy of Django Reinhardt and Stéphane Grappelli into the present. With playful virtuosity, energy and warmth, you get string-swing jazz of high class. Two guitars, a violin and a double bass, plus vocals in dialect. The music is rooted in the Django universe, but the band also weaves in everything from western swing, Latino-jazz and Nynorskified gems from the American songbook.
