About

Celebrating the county’s unique role in the Revolutionary War, the Chester County History Center’s new exhibit highlights the local events and the complex choices the community faced. Instead of focusing only on the battles, the exhibit tells the stories of people from different religions, ethnicities, and genders and how they navigated the war when it arrived in their villages. What factored into the decisions to fight for freedom or stay loyal to the crown or remain a pacificist? Learn about the challenges on the path to independence. Discover true stories of the county’s earliest residents. Enjoy historic artifacts from our 18th century collection.
