Historie
- 1968Firefighter Pierre Barsalou founded La Banquise as an ice cream shop. Later that year, it became a snack bar serving mainly hot dogs and French fries.
- Early 1980sPoutine joined the menu, initially in two varieties.
- 1994–2023Founder Pierre Barsalou’s youngest daughter, Annie Barsalou, and her husband Marc Latendresse owned the restaurant.
