Tips for your visit
- Buy tickets online through the park’s website.
- During winter, many outdoor and water rides close; the park puts on a circus revue and ice show.
- Dinner events, including the Dinner Show and Baden Medieval Banquet, take place on selected evenings after the park closes.

History
The original Breisach site was abandoned because of flood risk. The Macks bought the Balthasar castle park in Rust instead.
- 1975Europa-Park opened on 12 July on 16 hectares in Rust.
- 1978Attendance rose from about 250,000 in the first year to one million.
- 1982Italy opened as the first country-themed area.
- 1984Alpenexpress Enzian, the park’s first roller coaster, opened.
- 2018A fire destroyed Piraten in Batavia and damaged part of Scandinavia. The park reopened the next day, while damaged facilities remained closed.

How to get there
- CarLeave the A5 at exit 57b and follow the park’s access road.
- TrainTake a regional train to Ringsheim, served by the EuroCity Express between Frankfurt and Milan, then a bus to the park’s main entrance. Buses run several times daily.
- BusDirect buses connect the park with Emmendingen and Herbolzheim. Lines 271 and 531 connect it with Strasbourg and Sélestat.
- BusFlixBus services 007, 008 and 011 stop at Rheinweg, about 100 metres from the main entrance.
- BusShuttle services connect the park with Karlsruhe/Baden-Baden airport.
- ParkingReserved Parking is directly at the main entrance. Motorbikes and bicycles can park there free.
