Indian block printing workshop

Using hand-carved wooden blocks and traditional techniques that date back centuries, you will learn how to build pattern, layer colour, and create your own hand-printed textiles. Guided step-by-step, you will experiment with a curated collection of blocks and natural-toned fabric paints to design and print your own unique piece(s) to take home. Block printing is wonderfully absorbing and rhythmic, making it both calming and creatively fulfilling. This workshop is designed to be welcoming and enjoyable for everyone, whether you are completely new to printmaking or already enjoy creative crafts. All materials are provided, and you will leave with up to two beautiful hand-printed pieces along with the skills and confidence to continue exploring this timeless craft. Hot drinks and biscuits will be provided throughout the afternoon. Please bring along any other food and drink you'd like to enjoy, or you can pop to our café for a range of drink and snack options.
