The open-shelf library holds publications on aviation, Zeppelins and art; books cannot be borrowed.

The Zeppelin exhibition spans two storeys, tracing airship history from the Montgolfier brothers’ balloons to the Zeppelin NT.
Its galleries cover transatlantic flights, a round-the-world trip, polar expeditions and wartime airships.
A company-history section follows the Zeppelin concern alongside airship development until 1918, then traces their separate paths.
The art collection spans the late Middle Ages to the present, with regional artists including Max Ackermann, Willi Baumeister and Erich Heckel.
Works appear in changing displays and temporary exhibitions.
The archive and library form a research centre for aviation, airships, art and art history.

The west wing aviation laboratory has hands-on stations about lift, streamlining and airship gears.
A children’s wing has experiments, original exhibits and touchable replicas.
Bookable formats are available for families, schools and kindergartens.
