Geschiedenis
Erich and Katharina Balmer ran the business for over 30 years. Today, Carmen Balmer and her team own and manage the hostel, continuing the family’s third generation.
- 1907Frida and Adolf Balmer began the business as a tourist house.
- 1945The business took the name Balmers Herberge.
- 1950sThe founders began hosting British school groups.
- 1970sErich Balmer returned from work in the USA and Canada and turned the business into a private hostel.
