What's in season
- Dec – JanA nighttime bus tour through the park’s main sections runs from December to January, when lions, antelopes, hippopotamuses, buffalo and tigers are more active.

Know before you go
- Tour the vehicle safari in your own car or on a park guided bus.
- Explore the Adventure Zone on foot; vehicles are not allowed.

History
Founder Carlos Camacho Espíritu was a Puebla businessman, broadcaster and pilot who wanted to build community awareness of animal protection.
- 1972Africam Safari opened to the public on April 2. It grew from Carlos Camacho Espíritu’s private animal collection in Valsequillo, Puebla, and his vision of habitats where animals could breed in surroundings resembling the wild.
- 1976–1980After Camacho died in 1976, his wife Louise Wardle de Camacho continued the project. Their eight children took over after her death in 1980.
- 2012In June, nine elephants rescued after being orphaned by illegal hunting arrived from Namibia.
- 2024Benito the giraffe arrived from Chihuahua.
