History

After closing temporarily in October 2023, the water park was taken over by North Yorkshire Council.

  1. 2012Planning permission was granted for Alpamare.
  2. 2016Alpamare opened on 30 July.
  3. 2019The Wellness at Alpamare spa opened.
  4. October 2023The water park closed temporarily. North Yorkshire Council took it over after its operator went into administration.
  5. May 2024North Yorkshire Council selected Flamingo Land Resorts Limited as its preferred bidder.
