History

The connecting dining rotunda has paintings by Otto Haberer and a glass roof by Édouard Diekmann. Pierre-Yves Rochon directed renovations of the Palace wing in 2014 and the Beau-Rivage wing in 2020.

  1. 1861The hotel opened.
  2. 1864The Chalet annex enlarged the hotel.
  3. 1908The adjoining neo-baroque wing and connecting Art Nouveau rotunda opened.
  4. 24 July 1923The Treaty of Lausanne was signed here.
  5. March–April 2015Iran nuclear framework negotiations brought delegations from the P5+1 countries, the EU and Iran; the framework agreement was signed on 2 April.
