History

Britzer Garten was created on farmland for the 1985 Bundesgartenschau.

1985Created on farmland among allotments and nurseries for the Bundesgartenschau, to provide a landscape park for southeast West Berlin; Wolfgang Miller and Georg Penker drew up the plans.
1986–2012The park railway operated as the Britzer Museumsbahn.
8 July 1989The landscape park opened.

How to get there

BusBVG buses serve the Buckower Damm and Mohriner Allee entrances. Sangerhauser Weg, Tauernallee, Massiner Weg and Blütenachse are farther from the Quarzweg stop.
ParkingParking is available at the Mohriner Allee, Buckower Damm and Sangerhauser Weg entrances.
