History
At its opening, the buffet stood in open countryside, served by a tram running from Neuchâtel station to La Coudre.
- 17 September 1910The public refreshment stop opened with the Chaumont funicular. A breakdown on opening night left its 80 guests to walk down.
- Earlier operatorsThe Krebs, Egger, Disler, Biétry and Schneeberger families ran the buffet.
- TakeoverCéline and Enrico Angelisanti leased the restaurant from Transports Neuchâtelois, becoming its sixth operators.
- OwnershipThe couple subsequently bought the restaurant.
