History

C Restaurant was the second restaurant to occupy the top of St Martins Tower.

  1. 1978Hilite 33 opened at the top of St Martins Tower. Its co-founders were Alain Kuhl and Jean-Daniel Ichallalene; young chef Shane Osborn worked there before becoming head chef at Pied à Terre in London.
  2. 2000Co-founder Alain Kuhl sold Hilite 33.
  3. 2001Phil Clements renamed the restaurant and relaunched it on 26 January. Within a year, it won a Gold Plate award for fine and occasional dining.
  4. 2006In August, Clements sold the business to Olivier Letrone, Franck Duroleck and Jermone Guesdon.
