History

CrossIron Mills was developed and is owned by Ivanhoé Cambridge. JPRA Architects and Cohos Evamy designed the mall, and Ledcor Construction was the general contractor. The centre temporarily closed on March 28, 2020, except for essential services, and reopened on May 14, 2020.

  1. 2007Construction began in June.
  2. 2009Bass Pro Shops opened in March as the first tenant, while the centre was still incomplete. The centre celebrated its grand opening on August 19 as Alberta’s first enclosed regional shopping centre in over 20 years.
  3. 2010The Entertainment Neighbourhood opened in summer.
  4. 2016The food court relocated and opened as the CrossIron Mills Food Hall on July 27.
