History

The project began in the late 1990s as part of efforts to promote the province’s paleontological heritage and regional development. The museum’s collections began as park exhibits and later incorporated research and institutional materials.

1998The paleontological foundation was established to research, preserve and share paleontology.
1 June 2001The main park opened to the public.
June 2023The Mar Jurásico themed route was added.
