- The Filomena Kitchen dining room resembles Mother Filomena’s dining rooms, with a large oak table, carved chairs and a sculpted Murano glass grape chandelier.
History
Helmut Kohl was a regular visitor from the restaurant’s opening in 1983. Former presidents George H. W. Bush, Bill Clinton and Joe Biden have also visited. The restaurant became a living shrine to Mother Filomena.

- 1983JoAnnaFilomena founded the restaurant to recreate her mother’s family dinners. It opened on May 23.
- 1994Bill Clinton and Helmut Kohl discussed Russia, Central Europe, the Middle East and decisions from a recent NATO summit over lunch.
