History
The brothers developed their stuffed pizza through several months of experimenting with their mother's recipe. She was especially known for the family's Easter pizza pies. After bankruptcy, four Giordano's restaurants closed amid legal battles.
- 1974Brothers Efren and Joseph Boglio founded Giordano's in Chicago.
- 1988John and Eva Apostolou acquired the business.
- 1995Giordano's opened a Milwaukee restaurant, which closed in 2002.
- 2005The chain opened its first Florida locations.
- 2011Giordano's entered bankruptcy proceedings and secured emergency financing. In November, a group including Victory Park, Origin Capital, and Atria Group bought the business at auction.
