History

  1. 1923In July, Skiclub Arosa decided to build the hut for ski-tour accommodation, before mountain railways and lifts existed. About 50 members built it voluntarily; it was inaugurated on 9 December.
  2. 1937, 1962, 2004 and 2024Extensions and alterations in these years reshaped the hut.
  3. 1 November 2014Hans-Christian «Hitsch» Leu and Hörnli Gastro AG took over management under a lease.
  4. 2016The toilets and Schanfigger Stube furnishings were renewed.
  5. 2024The planned centenary expansion was postponed by one year to 2024 because of geological uncertainties.
