History
Theodor Perren excavated the foundations himself in the ze Obrehiischre area. An Italian construction worker named the hotel after admiring the Matterhorn. The year after it opened, a typhoid outbreak forced a four-month closure. The family used that time to develop the hotel as a place for relaxation and a second home for guests.
