History
The buildings are thought to have served as a hotel from the start. The entrance hall once served as a passage for merchants arriving by horse and cart. Baron Louis, Graaf de Beugnot and Bertin de Vaux stayed there during the Hundred Days.
- 1837After Ghent’s first train arrived, horse-drawn omnibuses carried travellers from Zuidstation to city hotels.
- 2005The hotel joined Historic Hotels Belgium.
