History

  1. 1889The hotel opened; Kaspar Manz took over the small property and founded the family business.
  2. 1913Guest rooms gained running hot water.
  3. 1914The hotel opened its own wine cellar and wine shop.
  4. 1920The hotel introduced in-room telephones and shared bathrooms on each floor.
  5. Around 1950A fifth floor added 28 guest rooms.
