History
The Kurhaus later operated year-round after the Solothurn–Münster railway opened. It is a cultural property of regional importance in the canton of Solothurn. After the historic chairlift closed, a postbus served the route until the gondola began operating in late 2014. The hotel reopened after a complete renovation in 2019, with a new panorama hall on its east side.
- 1862–1867Two wings were added, with a tourist restaurant on the west side and guest rooms in the east wing.
- 1876A drinking hall was built beside the east wing.
- 1951A south terrace was added, and the Oberdorf–Weissenstein chairlift began operating.
- 1987The spa house reopened after two years of renovation.
- 2010The Oberdorf–Weissenstein chairlift closed.
