History
As demand grew, the store focused entirely on ice cream, and production moved across the tracks to a larger plant in Cochrane’s industrial area. Sunday afternoon visits became a long-standing tradition for Calgary families. Rhona and Robyn studied ice cream courses at Penn State and Guelph University. They were named Canadian Female Entrepreneurs of the Year and selected for Maclean’s Honour Roll.
- 1948The MacKays began making ice cream in the back of the shop for local customers and Calgary day-trippers.
- 2011Meghan and her husband Mark began the third generation of the family business.
