- MainNizza has outdoor seating beside Nizza park. The neighbouring park retains a plane-tree avenue dating from its early period.

History
During railway construction, the Kleine Main channel was filled in, joining the former island to the riverbank. Sebastian Rinz began designing the park, and his grandson Andreas Weber completed it; the official name Nizza followed. Marika Kilius and Franz Ningel trained at the rink in summer before indoor ice rinks existed.
- 1832An excursion inn with a garden terrace and small pavilions stood on the former island.
- 1860Nizza park was created on the former island to prevent it from becoming a storage area.
- 1898The Mosler swimming facility opened at the park as Germany’s largest at the time.
- 1921Max Beckmann painted “Das Nizza in Frankfurt am Main” in Frankfurt.
- 1933A roller-skating rink was built in the park and became a center for artistic roller skating.

- 1951A sundial designed by watchmaker Lothar M. Loske was installed and called the world’s largest.
- 2000–2005The park was renovated and replanted with hardy Mediterranean species.
- 2004The restaurant building was completed for Bankhaus Metzler, replacing an old pavilion. The sundial was restored and moved 1.4 km.
- 2005The roller-skating rink was demolished to expand the park.
