  3. 1877–78Old Nordbahnhof opened as the Northern Railway’s southern terminus.
  4. 1892Hertha BSC was founded and used the Einsame Pappel training ground as a playing field for many years.
  5. 1912The city bought the parade ground’s eastern section for a planned play and sports park.
