Maya Mare is an indoor water park and sauna complex in Halle (Saale)’s Beesen district, beside the Weiße Elster and opposite the Saale-Elster-Aue.

History
Maya Mare occupies the former Beesen waterworks site.
- 1867A pumping station was built on the site.
- 1868Halle connected all 2,300 private households to a central municipal water supply.
- 1988–1993New buildings and modern facilities were constructed on the site from 1988; the old waterworks closed in 1993.
- 1997Construction of Maya Mare began.
- 1999Maya Mare opened on 1 April.

How to get there
- TramTake tram 1 or 2, or a bus, to Beesen terminus, then walk about 500 metres to Am Wasserwerk 1, 06132 Halle (Saale).
