History
- 1967The hotel opened as Eurotel Riviera just before the first Montreux Jazz Festival. At the time, it was the only hotel in Montreux with an indoor swimming pool.
- 1971Eurotel Montreux developed a co-ownership concept for hotel studios.
- 1990sThe festival moved closer to the hotel in 1993, to the Montreux Music & Convention Centre, which opened the Stravinski Auditorium and Miles Davis Hall. During the 1990s, the festival expanded along the waterfront with free concerts.
- 2003The hotel renovated Salle Piccard and named the room after Jacques Piccard.
- 2013The restaurant and its terrace on Lake Geneva’s shore were renovated and renamed Le Safran.
