History
Most interior decorations date to the 17th century. Philipp Buholzer runs the restaurant as the fourth generation of the Buholzer family.
- 1859The half-timbered building was constructed near the Lion Monument.
- 1931The Buholzer family bought the building and turned it into a restaurant.
- 1951August A. Busch met Trudy Buholzer while dining here; they married the following year.
- 1961Willy and Hanny Buholzer took over running the restaurant as the second generation.
- 1998Philipp Buholzer took over from his parents.
