History

FoundingWinterthur industrial and service company leaders founded the hotel and commissioned architects Franz Scheibler and Jakob Tabacznik.
10–11 April 1957Georg Schöllhorn stayed the night before the Garden Hotel opened on 11 April; he was its first guest.
June 2005Remodelling and expansion began. The work added 11 ground-floor rooms and replaced the Schöllhorn and Rosensaal halls with the Garden Hall.
November 2005The hotel took the name Park Hotel Winterthur because it stands in a park.
