- The terrace overlooks a formal French-style garden with two rock sphinxes, beside six mulberry trees.
- The ground floor also contains a whiskey bar and cheese cellar.
- The mansion’s grand salon has parquet flooring, a fireplace, a rococo stucco ceiling and neoclassical woodwork.

History
The mansion retains mainly original interiors, including faience stoves made by a Bern manufactory. DuPeyrou was a close friend of Jean-Jacques Rousseau and funded the first publication of his complete works. An apartment intended for Rousseau was never used.
- 1765–1771The Hôtel DuPeyrou was built for Pierre-Alexandre DuPeyrou to plans by architect Erasme Ritter.
- 1799DuPeyrou’s heirs sold the property to the de Pourtalès brothers.
- 1858The city bought the mansion and restored it.
- 1860–1885The mansion housed the Musée de peinture.
- May 2022Guillaume Toupance took over with chef Edmond Bavois, following the Penlington family’s 25 years running the restaurant.
