History
In 2026, the restaurant marks 167 years across five generations. The Hofstetter room and dining room retain their original form, and the butcher’s parlor occupies the former butcher’s shop. The Triemli Saloon and its bar occupy former shop premises on the site where the barn once stood.
- OriginsJakob Hofstetter built a residence with an inn, barn and stable.
- 1946A butcher’s shop with apartments was added.
- UndatedA miniature golf course, bowling alley, garden self-service buffet and garages were added to the property.
- 1984The miniature golf course and bowling alley were removed, the garden dining area was remodeled and new halls were built. The restaurant has had its present design since 1984.
- 2009Fabian Gallmann, Jakob Hofstetter’s great-great-grandson in the fifth generation, took over management.
