History
- 1866Ulrich Stiffler built Maison Stiffler as a restaurant and guesthouse.
- 1879Florian Stoppany took over Maison Stiffler.
- 1881Jakob Ragaz expanded Maison Stiffler into the Post Hotel Pontresina, incorporating a photographer’s house.
- 1895A major expansion gave the hotel its Renaissance Revival form.
- 1906/07Central heating enabled the hotel’s first winter season.

- 1930sFinancial difficulties led to restructuring, and Graubündner Kantonalbank became the owner.

- 1972Pontresina municipality acquired the hotel. Later upgrades added en suite bathrooms to most rooms and improved meeting and sports-storage facilities.
