History
The club was formed to give campers more freedom to enjoy Tallebudgera beach. Its first clubhouse was a wooden hut on stumps provided by the fitness camp. Founding members travelled from Brisbane by train, got off at Elanora siding and walked to the club.
- 1947Six volunteers led by Ken Voysey formed the surf lifesaving club for campers at Tallebudgera beach.
