- 1049Valère is first recorded as the site of Sion’s cathedral chapter.
- Until the French RevolutionThe church served as the residence of the cathedral chapter’s canons.
- 1891The Chapter agreed to keep the artworks already in the church.
- 1954The Kuhn workshop restored the silent organ to working order.
- 1987A restoration campaign began across the Valère site.
