History
- 1964Ruhr Park opened in Harpen on 14 November as Germany’s second shopping centre, after Main-Taunus-Zentrum in Sulzbach.
- 1978Founder Edward J. Roberts sold the centre to Westdeutsche ImmobilienBank.
- October 2001Via Bartolo’s dining area opened.
- 2010Unibail-Rodamco acquired the centre.
- 2011–2015A renovation added the Südmall.

How to get there
- BusEight bus lines serve three stops around the centre: Ruhr Park, Ruhr Park/UCI and Brücke Ruhr Park. Only three lines connect to the city centre, and the journey takes comparatively long.
- CarAddress: Am Einkaufszentrum 1, 44791 Bochum. From the A40, use Exit 39 Bochum-Werne. The nearby A40 and A43 connect the centre to the road network.
