Yorkshire Wildlife Park is a zoo and conservation centre in Auckley, on the outskirts of Doncaster in South Yorkshire, with walk-through animal habitats.

Why go
- Lion Country was created for 13 lions rescued from a Romanian zoo.
- A 150-metre raised walkway overlooks the tiger enclosure and neighbouring wetland.
- Raised paths at Point Lobos overlook a two-acre sea-lion reserve with two lakes, stony beaches and small islands.
- Project Polar has a ten-acre enclosure with two pools, the largest eight metres deep.
- Twenty African penguins joined the park through a conservation programme.

Tips for your visit
- For South American food, ¡Caramba! is outdoors in the park centre, left of the crossroads.
- Masai Café is at the far side of the park near Giraffe House, Land of the Tigers and Camels.
- Tsavo Lodge Bakehouse is a large tent café beside Monkey Playhouse, arranged like a food court.
- Safari Café serves bistro food. Its upper level is reached by stairs or through the courtyard toilet entrance.

History
CBeebies presenter Justin Fletcher, known as Mr Tumble, opened the park. Visitor numbers rose from 66,000 in 2009 to 323,000 in 2011. On 15 April 2015, the zoo announced that three Siberian tiger cubs had been born on 29 March.
- 2008Cheryl and Neville Williams bought the site with businessman John Minion.
- 2009The park opened on 4 April after the former riding school and petting zoo site was renovated.
- 2010Lion Country opened in May, with an enclosure incorporating a waterfall, rocks and trees.
- 2011Land of the Tigers opened beside a wetland reserve, with two pools and a waterfall.
- 2012Leopard Heights opened in March with an eight-metre viewing tower and a glass viewing wall.

- Paths Most main paths are level or gently sloped and wheelchair accessible; Lemur Woods and Jungle Lookout Play Area have natural paths.
- Viewing Ground-level glass viewing panes are available at Leopard Heights, Giant Otters and several animal houses.
- Parking The accessible car park is about 240 metres from the park entrance.
- Equipment hire Manual wheelchairs, mobility scooters and child strollers are available to hire in limited numbers.
