History
After facing closure several times, the association chose to become a foundation. Susy Fehr provided its founding capital, and the foundation was later named in her memory. Philippe Daucourt helped develop its structure over more than a year. Sabine Fehr succeeded her mother, Edith Fehr, in managing the family business.
- 1974Zoo Al Maglio began operating in Ticino.
- 2025A foundation took over the zoo’s animal care, research and conservation mission.
