Dominic Sessa, Antonio Banderas, Emilia Jones, Leo Woodall, Stavros Halkias, Monica Raymund Acclaimed writer-director Matt Johnson (Blackberry, Nirvanna the Band the Show the Movie ) depicts an intimate look into the early life of chef, author and cultural icon Anthony Bourdain, in this film adapted from his 2000 memoir Kitchen Confidential. In 1976, a young 19-year-old Anthony Bourdain aspires to become a professional writer but fails to get into his college’s writing fellowship. With no desire to remain at home for the summer, he travels to Provincetown, Massachusetts to chase his unrequited high school crush. But when things go sideways, he accepts a job at a Cape Cod restaurant, learning under the tutelage of Ciro, a Brazilian-born chef and restaurateur.
