Good Friday opens the Easter long weekend on the Gold Coast with a quieter trading day and an important Christian observance. Visitors can attend worship, share a seafood meal or spend time outdoors, but the day works best when food and essential purchases are arranged beforehand. In 2027, Good Friday is 26 March. It is a Queensland public holiday, followed by three more Easter holidays through Monday 29 March. Its retail and liquor restrictions differ from the rest of that weekend.
