About

Focusing on Open B♭, B♭ Wahine, and B♭ Mauna Loa tunings, this class will explore the beloved mele “Hiʻilawe” in the style of Gabby Pahinui. Along the way, you’ll learn the history and story behind the mele while exploring the tunings and techniques that bring this iconic slack key style to life. As a special bonus, you’ll receive a complimentary ticket to the 24th Annual USKGF Kanikapila Concert with your USKGF workshop registration!
